Why?

If you only read one book this year, then I recommend this one. At some point in our life we come face to face with the question 'Why?'. Often we find ourselves crying out to a God who seems unaware of our suffering and who seemingly chooses to remain silent when we need to hear Him most. Ronald Dunn teaches me that asking 'why'? will never be answered and shows how to turn difficult situations into blessings. Suffering is inevitable for every believer, but just as Jesus did, we have the right to cry out and express the pain that we feel. Let this book transform your thinking and bring you closer to a God who loves you and wants the very best for you.

The Secret of Success

Well I've finally joined the world of ‘bloggers’. Have much to share with you but for the moment want to leave a verse with you that has been important in my life over the past few months. ‘Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power‘. Ephesians 6:10. During these past six months, I've had to deal with mum being diagnosed with cancer, some unwelcome visitors who entered our house at night and helped themselves to a few of our possessions, and also stuggling with my own personal health problems. So often I try to draw on our own strength and wonder why I feel discouraged and defeated. Putting into practice the above verse knocks all that on it’s head. Turning the focus from ourselves and onto God, lifts us up and puts everything into persepective. We are faced with two choices in life; to be afraid or to have faith, to trust. Choosing the latter will often not affect the outcome but what it will do is change the way we live that situation out in our lives. Keeping our eyes fixed on the one who created us and wants the very best for us, is the secret to a life without fear and a life full of the ‘peace that passes all understanding’. May you know that in your life today.
